During our stay in Rome, we discovered many places. Places, but also monuments, lost all over the Italian capital.
Portico d’Ottavia
Basilica di Santa Maria in Trastevere
It is one of the oldest churches in Rome. It seems to be the first official place of worship dedicated to Christians.
Piazza del Popolo
Located near the Borghese villa, the piazza del Popolo is the first place we saw during our stay.
Piazza Venizia
Piazza Venizia is one of the city’s great squares. The impressive monument to Victor Emmanuel II overlooks this square located near the remains of the Roman Forum.
Piazza Navonna
It is the tourist square of the capital. It is built on the ruins of the Domitian stadium, close to the pantheon.
Pantheon
The Pantheon of Rome is an ancient religious building. The Catholic Church will transform it to use as a church. It has the world’s largest unarmed concrete dome.
Trevi Fountain
It is the largest and most famous fountain in Rome.
